Club Patio Renovation
Starts 7th April

Dear members,

I am excited to announce that the Board has decided to proceed with its plans to renovate the patio in front of our clubhouse. Our objectives are to improve the aesthetics of the area, to create a larger and more comfortable seating area, and to improve viewing of matches on our show-courts 3 and 9.

The new patio will be 90m2, raised from its current level and there will be a 60cm deep step alongside the entire length of the patio. Step free access to the patio will also be available.

The works are scheduled to start next week, Tuesday after Easter, and will last approximately 5 weeks. The entire work area will be fenced off securely, but access to the clubhouse and tennis courts will be available at all times, though certain usual access points will not be available. Access to courts 4, 5 and 6 will be from the car park, and access to courts 7, 8, and 9 will be from the footpath alongside these courts. Access to the club from Roman Road will be closed in the first week of the works and intermittently thereafter. Please click below to see a safety access plan that will apply during this period.  See below the SAFETY ACCESS PLAN

We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but hope that with us you look forward to enjoying the new patio this summer. Michael Shanahan, our Grounds & Pavilion Director,  is in charge of the execution of the project and if you have any questions, please let him or me know.

Best regards,

Arnold Jager
