Roger Walker RIP
 

Hello Everyone

A previous member at the club, Roger Walker, has sadly recently passed away.  (For clarification, this is not the Roger Walker that has been playing tennis and has recently retired and relocated).

Another squash player, William Lewis, has written a few words about him:
 
Sadly we have lost another of ‘The Old Guard’ - Doug Row, Paul Stanway, Nick Anderton, Alan Rose, Don Ayton, Joe Lamb, Bob Gray, Jim Catt and now Roger.
 
That just about leaves me as the last man standing !!
 
Roger had been battling health problems stoically for about six years and the last six months have been particularly tough on Marj.
 
He made 80 - just - and will be remembered for his half a million pound win on the TV series ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’.  I don’t think there was much left at the end so it’s good he enjoyed it.

RIP Roger, farewell old friend.
