Hi Everyone

What is Cardio Tennis?

Cardio Tennis is a fun, sociable group fitness class with a tennis twist.

This tennis workout is open to anyone - all ages and abilities!

Great music (If we are allowed!), great cardio and great people – what’s not to like? You’ll get to hit lots of tennis balls during your class, build up your skills and work up a sweat. There may be some workout stations, but as much variety as possible to keep your heart rate up!

You might be wondering, “is tennis good exercise?” - the short answer is yes! Tennis offers a great workout from a cardio fitness perspective as well as working out muscles across your body, from your core to your glutes.

What is a typical Cardio Tennis class like?

Each class is 55 minutes long, with a short warm-up, a 45-minute full body workout, and a cool down.

Warm up

Some dynamic stretching, skills and drills to get your body warm and mind sharp, ready for the workout to begin!


Here’s your chance to hit loads of shots - forehands, backhands, serves, you name it - all mixed with a variety of fitness activities and some circuit workouts.


Put your shots into practice with fun tennis games. You’ll never play one-on-one; your teammates will be with you all the way.

Do I need to be brilliant at tennis?

Not at all. Everyone is welcome to Cardio Tennis, no matter what your skill level is! The class moves along quickly, so no one will be judging your skills, and it doesn’t matter whether the ball goes in or out.

What Do I Need to Bring?

Just bring your racket, your sports kit & bottle of water

When are the sessions?

Fridays 10-10.55am - £12 (Minimum 4 players)

Saturday 9.30-10.25am - £12 (Minimum 4 players)

How do I book?

Please book by logging on to the club website Dorking Lawn Tennis & Squash Club Limited ( and go to classes/events and book on in advance.
