GOING (a bit) GREENER!!!

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well and enjoying this amazing summer. Great news – we have installed new recycling bins! We now have side-by-side refuse and recycling bins outside on the terrace, inside in the bar area and upstairs by the squash spectator gallery.

The separation rules are the same as for your Mole Valley household waste so nothing new to learn there, and yes, all ball tins can be recycled. There are also plenty of words and pictures, just in case.

Please note, in the future, do not put any recyclable waste into the bins on the courts, but put this in the new recycling bins. Thank you Jo for making this happen! This is all part of a more environmentally responsible DLTSC.

I also have important information about our kitchen: We do not have paid cleaners to take care of cups, plates, cutlery etc. in the kitchen. We have installed new signs in the kitchen to make it very clear what is expected from EVERYBODY.

Please clean up after yourself and when the dishwasher is full, please switch it on (instructions provided) and when it is full of clean stuff, please put it away in the cupboards.

The alternative is that we pay somebody for this job. Even if we were to find somebody to do it, do we as members really want to be using our membership fees to pay somebody to load/empty the dishwasher - something we can so easily do ourselves in a matter of minutes?

Instead we can use the money to install more floodlights or make other improvements to our facilities

Thank you for doing your bit for the club and most of all thank you for reading this far!

Best regards,

Arnold Jager
