Squash Update - 8th September 2020

Hi All

You will be aware that the England Squash guidelines changed recently to allow bubbles of six players to play full-court matches, with some additional hygiene measures required.

If you would like to form your own bubble, please email me with the names of all of the players in your group to fulfil the track and trace requirements. Players are able to change bubbles but must take a 7 day break between playing with their original bubble amd getting on court with a new bubble. Players MUST inform Jeremy before resuming play.

If you would prefer me to put you in a box league with other players of a like standard, let me know. These will be run in the same way as the existing box leagues but will obviously only include players who are comfortable playing in the current climate.

We have also reintroduced Friday Club Night, which will be split into two sessions (6-7pm & 7-8pm). Places will be limited and will be bookable via the club website and sessions will resume this Friday (11th September).

You will see that because of the court timings, each session will show as 45 minutes. With that in mind, we have set up the system to give extra grace in terms of the lights at the end of court bookings.

Club Night play will take the form of 'Sides', unless you are playing with someone in your nominated bubble and I will be on hand to organise and suggest routines etc.

Members should log in to the booking system and select 'Classes/Events' from any of the drop down menus to see the available Club Night sessions listed. Select 'Add to basket' and your booking will be made and confirmation sent.

The group coaching sessions I have been running over the last few weeks have been very successful and it has been great to see a good number enjoying the return to squash. These will continue on Tuesdays (6pm & 7.30pm) and Thursday evenings (7.30pm) going forwards and will consist of the usual routines, drills and squash specific fitness. If you are interested please let me know and I will add you to the email/WhatsApp group.

Finally, I have a few spaces available for individual lessons, so let me know if you would like me to put you through your paces!

Have a good week and I look forward to seeing you on court soon.

Regards

Jeremy
