WEBSITE

On 1st May we launched the new club website and have simplified the domain name to: dltsc.co.uk.

A great deal of time and effort has gone into creating a dynamic, vibrant and attractive site which is easy to navigate around. We are delighted with the result and hope that you will be too.

We are committed to making a major marketing push this year to attract new members to The Club and the website is integral to this as well as being a benefit to yourselves.

The website contains a calendar which covers all events that take place at the club: matches, social sessions, social events etc. Please email Janet with match scores, reports and photos so that we can keep the site as up to date as possible.

I should like to thank all those who participated in the photo shoot to help create the website visuals. A heartfelt thank you to Ian Rogers, Paul Deslandes, Janet and members of the board and coaches for the countless hours that they have spent testing and editing the site and material. Thank you too to Alex from Squiggle, our former website provider, for his help to the club in the past and in making the transfer happen smoothly.

OPEN DAY

On Sunday 19th May (12-4pm) the club is holding an open day to attract new members. Do come down and join in; there will be a BBQ, tea and cake, squash and tennis coaching and the bar will be open.

Please look out for a message from Mags Thornton with more details.

OTHER MATTERS

Our lovely new kitchen is now fully tested and I hope that you are enjoying using it. Please may I ask that you either wash and dry up and put away or use the dishwasher. A few minutes emptying the machine that has finished is much appreciated. Thank you.

We have noticed a huge increase in the number of water bottles that are left behind. They, like other lost property, are placed in the bins under the notice boards and after three weeks disposed of. We feel unable to send these to charity so they are put into the recycling bin, what a waste. Many thanks to Jo, who sorts and launders the clothing before sending to a good cause.

May I make an appeal to those of you who have not yet payed their subs to do so please? On 1st May there were still 44 adult members (18/19) who had not yet paid.

I hope that you are all enjoying this lovely weather and your squash and tennis,

Tricia
